Former cricketers honoured by Khar Gymkhana

Khar Gymkhana honoured some of India8217;s eminent cricketers with life membership. Polly Umrigar, Ajit Wadekar, Mohinder Amarnath, Padmakar Shivalkar, Karsan Ghavri, Robin Singh, Salil Ankola, Raju Kulkarni and Milind Rege were stars felicitated by the Gymkhana at a function on Sunday, a day before the prize distribution ceremony for the Khar Gymkhana 8-a-side tourney.

The Gymkhana contributed a purse of Rs 50,000 for former Test star Ramnath Parkar who is bedridden following an accident.

Family doubles8217; badminton

Badminton For You are organising a family doubles tournament to be held from March 1 onwards at the Sachivalaya Gymkhana, near Mantralaya. The tournament is expected to draw many national and international players including Rajeev Bagga, Uday Pawar, Bhushan Akut, Pradeep Gandhe, Ami Ghia and Leroy D8217;Sa among many others.
