Summer coaching camps

Thane Metropolitan Gymkhana will organise summer coaching camp in athletics at Dadoji Konddeo Stadium, Thane, from April 16 to May 15. Open to age group 8-17. Entry forms available with Vijay Shetty between 1700 & 1900 hours at venue. Last date: April 13.

Winners Sports Club, Dombivli will organise a athletics coaching camp at stadium near Pendharkar College, Dombivli from April 11-25, 5-7 p.m. Open to age group 6-16. Trials will be held to select trainees. For details, contact Kadam 476961, Kathoke 484979.

Mulund Gymkhana will organise a summer carrom coaching camp from April 10-May 10 every evening between 4-6 p.m.

The gymkhana is also holding a chess coaching camp from April 12-May 12 between 6-8 p.m.

The Thane Chapter of the Association of Cricket Umpires, along with the Mulund Gymkhana, will conduct free umpiring classes from April 11 to May 30. The classes will be held every Sunday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Kabaddi meet

The first state-level kabaddi meet organised by the Goregaon Sports Club with prizes worth Rs 75,000 will be held from April 8 to 11.

Sixteen teams each in men’s and women’s sections, divided into four groups, are participating.

Rizvi Sports Club will be conducting their annual summer cricket coaching camp at the General Arunkumar Vaidya ground, Bandra from April 6 onwards. The camp is open for boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 19. More details can be had from Javed Rizvi or Raju Phatak at the venue near Lilawati Hospital.
