Former State TT player suffers paralytic attack at Veterans event
Arun Rane, former Maharasthra player, suffered a paralytic attack while playing the All-India veterans table tennis championships in Kochi earlier this week. Rane was flown to Mumbai and admitted to Bombay Hospital. Nashik-based Rane represented Bank of India.

Amruta sets newswimming mark
Amruta Karkhanis of Swami Muktanand High School created a new record in long distant swimming between Dharamtar and Gateway of India recently on Dec 6. The 10-year-old Amruta, who practices at the Andheri Sports Complex, comlleted the 35 km stretch ina record time of seven hours, seven minutes and 35 seconds. The earlier mark of 7:8:41 hours stood in the name of Anita Sudane.
