  • The West Zone team for the under-19 CK Naidu Trophy tournament to be played in the South Zone was announced on Thursday.

    • Team: Rajesh Pawar captain, Mumbai, Niraj Patel vice-captain, Vivek Gandhi, Kevin Desai, Pallav Vora all Gujarat, Pushkaraj Jadhav, Yogesh Kaudhare all Mumbai, Dhiraj Jadhav, Vivek Deshmukh, Vedant Patwardhan all Maharashtra, Firoz Bambhane, Uday Karavacr, Pallav Vora all Saurashtra, Manmchan Gotra, Swadesh Nagare both Baroda.

    Vashi-Khopoli cycle race

  • A 110-km cycle race from Vashi to Khopoli organised by Navi Mumbai Sports Association will be held on January 3.

    • Entry fee is Rs 20 and the last date of entry is January 2. Entries will be accepted by Gajen Ganla, 319, Sir Bhalchandra Road, Matunga Tel: 4144836 or Paul D8217;Souza, Star Business Centre, Pali Naka, Bandra W Tel: 6431530.

    Khar Gym veterans tennis meet

  • Khar Gymkhana will conduct a Rs 75,000 veterans tennis doubles tournament from January4 to 10 at the Gymkhana courts. Entries close on December 31.

  • The Bombay Catholic Sabha is holding its fourth All-Mumbai Open athletic meet on January 9-10 at the University Sports Pavilion. All schools, colleges, clubs, associations are invited.
