Shall we dance?

The eight different rounds at The Battle will vary from the basic level, the instructor8217;s choreography round Rumba / Jive, Salsa to Bollywood group battle, Improvers theme round Jive, Latin Couples Solo round and so on. 8220;Seven of us have been choreographing moves in Latin Dance, Bollywood and Hip-hop for our students, who include doctors, architects and college students. We have people learning since four months to four years, who will be competing at different levels,8221; adds Poonawala who will also conclude the evening with his spectacular salsa piece.

Rohit Bhujbal and Neha Balooja will be competing for the Latin Couples category. 8220;We have been learning for the last three years. We won second place at the IIT Powai, Mood Indigo while competing against 17 couples from all over the country. We are looking forward to giving an unusual performance of rumba, which is a very slow and a sensuous style of Latin dance,8221; adds Bhujbal.

The event is in its fourth consecutive year with an increasing rejoinder. 8220;We have several new categories this time and around 60 of them will swing to different themes as compared to 30 last year. The participants have been practicing for hours since the past couple of months now. It has been a lot of fervour and energy all this while,8221; adds Poonawala. As the saying goes, you must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star.

The Battle will be held at One Lounge Koregaon Park, 7.30 pm onwards
