
Mumbai, February 24: Seven persons including a father and his two sons who were found guilty on the charges of brutal murder of teenager from Mumbra have been convicted and sentence to imprisonment for life today by Thane additional sessions judge A K Gunjotikar.
The judge relied on the dying declaration of the deceased Vazir Valis Khan 18 and the eyewitness account of the two sisters of the victim and held the accused responsible for the murder in 1993. The police stated that a dispute between Iqbal and Vazir was motive of the murder.
The accused Iqbal Zavoor Shaikh 41, Sameer Hasan Shaikh 20, Usman alias Pappu Iqbal Shaikh 18, Farid Shamshuddin Balbale 18, Rizwan Shamsuddin Balbale 19, Yusuf Iqbal Shaikh 22 and Rashid Jehangir Khan 19, had attacked the victim with swords, choppers, sticks and iron rods.
