MUMBAI, August 9: Leyton Selwyn8217;s equaliser for Don Bosco, Borivli against St Francis D8217;Assisi paved the former8217;s entry into the knock-out phase of the under-16 Division I of the Colgate Palmolive-sponsored Inter-Schools Football league.

In fact, D8217;Assisi had to win by a margin of at least goals but Selwyn8217;s strike in the second session put paid to their aspirations at the Azad Maidan this morning.

Earlier, Russel Rodrigues had put D8217;Assisi ahead in the first-half.

At St Dominic Savio ground, Andheri, Christopher Fernandes8217; hat-trick powered Our Lady of Remedy to an emphatic 3-0 victory over Swami Mukhtananda in a under-14 Division I-A match.

In a under-14 Division III-J match played at St Francis D8217;Assisi ground, Borivli, Rajans Vidyalaya routed Swami Vivekanand, Kandivli 12-0.

Mohanty Ardhendu scored four while Adar Puri and Shamal Phatak netted three apiece. Nikhil Bhat and Pritesh Shah scored a goal each.
