Top seed Guillermo Coria and second favourite Mario Ancic both fell at the $ 400,000 ATP tournament here on a day of tumbling seeds.

Only three seeds out of the top eight were left in the event with fourth seed Tommy Haas and number seven Florent Serra also going out, adding to the defeat of sixth seed Paradorn Srichaphan of Thailand on Monday.

Argentina’s Coria was beaten by Germany’s Denis Gremelmayr 3-6, 6-2, 6-3. Earlier yesterday, Ancic lost 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7/5) Philipp Kohlschreiber.
