SE gets bail in kickback case

CHANDIGARH, Dec 18: Superintending engineer K.B. Sharma was granted bail by Justice M.L. Singhal of the Punjab and Haryana High Court here today.

He was earlier booked by the UT Vigilance Department under the Prevention of Corruption Act in the Engineering Department kickback case.

According to the prosecution, Sharma8217;s name was mentioned in certain diaries recovered from the residences of the alleged middlemen during raids by the income tax authorities in November last year.
