Sangam, Rahul split points

The game was just 13 minutes old when Sangam were 0-2 in the constantly to-and-fro battle. Vinay Pillay put Rahul ahead in the seventh minute, and seven minutes later Sandeep made it 2-0 in their favour.

There was not the slightest indication by the Sangam lads as they set off with a positive approach. In the 29th minute, Raju Nikam made sure that his spot kick beat the Rahul keeper Teji N with perfect placement.

After the change of ends, the outfit from Sangamwadi near Deccan College, Sangam continued their onslaught. This saw them gain yet another penalty. Raju Nikam took the kick, but it was straight on the keeper Teji who failed to collect. And off the rebound, Eknath Koram banged home from a close range for Sangam to share points with Rahul.

Shabir Shaikh netted the all important goal as Rangehill Young Boys deprived Kirkeeans full points.

Chimpong Komel scored for Kirkeeans in the 32nd minute of the match, while Shabir found the equaliser for Rangehill Young Boys.
