INDORE, OCT 30: Some dubious line calls, a bit of frustration and a tough opponent. But third seed Sai Jayalakshmi India overcame all that to enter the final of the Bridgestone-ITF Women8217;s Circuit Tennis Tournament, here today.

The 21-year-old Chennai girl, recently back from a two-month tour of Europe, put all her resources together to get past Thai Montika Anuchan 6-2, 6-7 5, 6-2 in about two hours. In the other semifinal, second seed Rushmi Chakravarthy had no difficulty in beating Thailand8217;s Orawan Wangkamalasai 6-3, 6-0.

The left-handed Montika, who spent two years at Nick Bolliterri Academy, could do little in the first set. Sai broke her in the third and fifth games to win the set in just 18 minutes. The second set saw an improved and charged-up Montika.

Results semifinals: Sai Jayalakshmi India bt Montika Anuchan Thailand 6-2, 6-7 5-7, 6-2; Rushmi Chakravarthy India bt Orawan Wangkamalsai Thailand 6-3, 6-0.

Doubles final: Shruti Dhawan/ Sheetal Gautam Indiabt Sai Jayalakshmi-Rushmi Chakravarthy India 6-4, 6-4.
