PUNE, May 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Panthers Party president Bhim Singh today asked the Centre to dismiss Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah. He accused Abdullah of being America8217;s 8220;agent8221; and said the peace process in the state had suffered after he took charge.
The Panthers Party president is in Pune on an invitation by the city-based organisation, Sarhadd. He told mediapersons that the Jammu and Kashmir borders continue to remain volatile with nearly 19,000 Pakistani-trained soldiers operating in civilian garbs.
8220;In fact J amp; K faces the biggest threat from Abdullah,8221; Singh alleged. Foreign intelligence agencies like Pakistan8217;s ISI and America8217;s CIA were instrumental in stoking the communal fire, he said. Singh however lamented that no political party had bothered to seriously consider the issue and castigated Abdullah for not allowing the Sena Dal to function properly.
Singh claimed that America8217;s intentions in the long run to check activities in China were to use Pakistan8217;s helpin getting hold of Jammu and setting up an airbase. The Panthers party president charged that Abdullah had strong ties with America and was the US agent in India. Unfortunately, no political party had realised this game-plan, Singh said. He had submitted a letter to the Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee demanding Abdullah8217;s dismissal, he added. The party announced its decision to organise a march from the Kashmir valley to Kanyakumari in September-October this year to commemorate the golden jubilee of the accession of the state to India.
