According to a CNN report, the Vance family was not at home when the incident occurred and the authorities do not believe that anyone entered the premises of vice president’s house in Ohio, a federal law enforcement official said.
Photos, circulating on social media and local media outlets, show broken window panes of Vance’s residence in Ohio, however, it remains unclear what exactly happened at the residence.
According to the law enforcement official, authorities are investigating whether the individual who has been taken into custody was trying to target Vance or his family, CNN reported.
The incident took place on January 5 and according to a Fox 19 report quoting a Cincinnati police dispatcher, the US Secret Service called for police around 12:15am after the intel service saw someone “running eastbound”.
