
The Indian currency gained another four paise on Tuesday despite growing concerns over surging global crude oil prices after the Saudi attacks. In moderately active but cautious trade at the inter-bank foreign exchange forex market, the rupee closed at Rs. 45.41/42 per dollar, sharply higher from Monday8217;s finish of Rs 45.45/47 after briefly touching lows of Rs 45.46/47 on some dollar demand generated by the rising oil prices. It opened on a positive note at Rs. 45.42/44 per dollar, following a two paise gain on Monday.
