CUET PG 2026: NTA extends registration for postgraduate admission test

After extending the registration for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) Post Graduate (PG),  the National Testing Agency (NTA) has, for the second time, extended the application window. As per the new notice, students can apply till January 23 up to 11:50 pm. The last date for the submission of the examination fee is January 25.

Earlier, the last date was January 20. It is a last call for those who are yet to apply or to those who are yet to pay the application fees of the CUET PG 2026. Only those applications will be deemed completed and successful whose payment has been completed. Once the registration is successful, candidates will need to download the confirmation page for future reference.

For those who are yet to apply, here are some important details they need to know during the application filing procedure. Candidates have to fill out the application form on the official website — exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg — by 11:50 pm, January 23.

The application process will conclude soon. The Agency will open the correction window starting January 28, and it will close on January 30 at 11:50 PM. The CUET PG 2026 will be held for 157 subjects, with each exam lasting 90 minutes. The structure and format of the examination will remain unchanged.

CUET PG 2026: How to fill the form?

Step 1: Visit the official website — exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg.

Step 2: Click on the CUET registration link on the homepage.

Step 3: Enter your details such as name, email address and phone number

Step 4: Once registered, log in using your application number and password

Step 5: Fill out the application form and upload the necessary documents

Step 6: Save, submit and pay the fees

Step 7: Download the CUET PG 2026 application form for future reference

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the list of exam cities for CUET PG 2026. The total number of centres has decreased from 312 to 292, with the exams scheduled to take place across 272 cities in India and 16 cities abroad. Despite these changes to the exam locations, the agency has confirmed that there will be no revisions to the exam pattern or the subject list.

Additionally, the Agency has allowed applicants greater flexibility in choosing their exam centres. As per the notification, applicants will now be able to select up to four examination city preferences while filling out the Common University Entrance Test for postgraduate programmes. These city options must be chosen within the state of the candidate’s permanent or current residence.
