Last Friday was also busy day for Vijay Mallya. The liquor baron launched his new website for McDowell at his Nariman Point office in Hoechst House. Incidentally, you can always tell when this beer baron is in town as his Merc is parked outside the building. His British number plate J100 UBL is what catches the eye. After surfing on the net, Mallya had to deal with the surf and sand. He headed for The Resort at Marve for the launch of a new beer Ice. Giving him company were veejay8217;s Marc Robinson, Meghna Reddy and Suchitra Pillai. For additional entertainment Shaan amp; Sagarika and Vikas Bhalla crooned for the audiences. A spectacular laser show highlighting UB Ice followed. Basically, the King of the evening was the new beer which flowed like the provincial Arabian Sea.

If you had gone to eat at Trishna on Friday night you would have been surprised as this restaurant was shut for a special guest. It seems that the Greek prime minister and his entourage had the place to themselves. You would expect that such a guest would opt for a five-star hotel but it seems the Greeks love their seafood. In that case, there is no better place than Trishna.
