Rock bottom

A Successor to Indiana Jones and National Treasure, Journey to the Center of the Earth is the start of what promises to be another new adventure film franchise. Atlantis, the filmmakers leave no doubt, will be the next plot.

And that8217;s not to say Journey doesn8217;t at least feature all of the landmarks which have come to be associated with such a film 8211; starting with a dour professor, an inquisitive child, a pretty co-adventurer, an undefined source of income, crazy special effects, crazier storyline, big animals, bigger threats, one truly astonishing train ride, some truly harmless volcanoes and three remarkably unharmed individuals. And then there is Brendan Fraser 8211; what can you say, he has survived three Mummies hasn8217;t he?

Don8217;t go expecting anything extraordinary, take along a seven-year-old, and his screams of delight will make the trip worthwhile.
