Road workers8217; demonstration

CHANDIGARH, June 10: Employees of the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation Road Workers8217; Union today sat on a dharna near the Chandigarh Housing Board roundabout in support of their demands.

The dharna was held at the call given by Struggle Committe of UT and Municipal employees Employees8217; Federation to protest the anti-worker attitude of the administration.

Among the employees8217; demands are _ grant of Dearness Allowance and bonus to all UT employees, regularisation of daily wagers, filling up of vacant posts, supply of uniforms to all Class III employees and abolition of the contract system.
