
SURAT, Dec 7: More than 1,000 students, parents and teachers formed a procession that started from Udhna Railway Prathamik Shala and culminated into a public meeting in front of the Limbayat Police Station, demanding the arrest of killers of two school girls, whose bodies were recovered from Tadkeshwar, 65 kms from here last month.
Students of Aman Urdu School, Sarvajanik High School, Vidya Mandir and Railway Prathamik Shala, their parents and teachers were joined by a few prominent persons who addressed the meeting at the end of the silent procession.
A memorandum, addressed to the police commissioner, was submitted to inspector of the Limbayat Police Station G K Chaudhary by the processionists who expressed concern over increase in the number of such assaults on students, and demanded that the killers of the two girls be arrested immediately.
