It was a poor start to the BJP8217;s campaign for Lok Sabha elections in Doaba, with party president Rajnath Singh8217;s Vijay Sankalp rally, coinciding with Bhagat Singh8217;s death anniversary, drawing less than 5,000 people against the tall claims of 50,000. The crowd 8212; apparently rustled up from nearby factory workers 8212; comprised mainly the elderly. Singh accused the UPA Government of being soft on terror, and reiterated the demand for a strict law to counter it.
