Raid De Himalaya from Oct 7

CHANDIGARH, Oct 4: More than fourty entries including 22 in two-wheeler category have been received by the organisers of the Raid De Himalaya rally which will be held from October 7 to 10. The four-day event will cover a total distance of 1300 km on the rugged terrian and will be flagged off from Shilon Bagh Resorts. The event will also concluded at the same venue.

According to Vijay Parmar, the event carries a cash prize of Rs five lakh and is being organised by Himalayan Motorsport Association. The winner in the car section will pocket Rs 75,000 while the in the bike category the first prize is Rs 50,000.

A girls team has also entered in the car section.

Pre-event scrutiny will be held on October 6 while closing ceremony is on October 11.
