Bus to Dhaka rolls out today

DHAKA: Bangladesh is keenly awaiting the first bus from Calcutta which arrives here tomorrow. It will resume the rites of passage that the Partition stopped almost 49 years ago. Prime Minister Vajpayee will be here to receive the bus along with his Bangladesh counterpart Sheikh Hasina. External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh will be accompanying Vajpayee.

Landmine blast

SRINAGAR: Four Army men including an officer were killed in two landmine blasts on Srinagar-Leh highway early today. Four jawans were seriously wounded in the first explosion at around 6 am. As reinforcements reached the site, militants detonated another mine killing a captain and two jawans.
