NEW DELHI: Delhi Assembly on Monday passed a censure motion against Leader of the Opposition Jag Parvesh Chandra for asking Congress member Mukesh Sharma not to leave the House despite the Speaker8217;s direction for his removal. Speaker Charti LalGoel directed the marshals to remove Sharma from the House after he defied repeated instructions from the chair to maintain discipline and created noisy scenes while insisting for a discussion on price rise during the question hour.
Cauvery meeting
CHENNAI: The first meeting of the Cauvery River Authority8217;s monitoring committee, to frame rules and regulations for the committee, would be held at New Delhi on October 7. The Centre8217;s move to convene the meeting follows a request from Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.
