Veteran AP Congman dies in bomb attack
HYDERABAD: Y Raja Reddy, veteran Congressman and father of Andhra Pradesh Congress president Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy was killed in a bomb attack at vempally village, about 70 km from cuddaph, today. One of Reddy’s assailants, who hurled country-made bombs at his car, was also killed as Reddy’s gunmen fired at him. One of bombs hit Raja Reddy on his full face and split his head spewing out the brain and eyes killing him on the spot and severing the hand of the car driver.
US school hit list
MISSOURI: Three sixth-grade boys in Missouri had a “hit list” and were plotting to kill fellow classmates on the last day of school in a sniper attack during a false fire alarm, police said.
Irish peace deal
LONDON: An overwhelming number of people on both sides of the Irish border voted `yes’ in the referendums held there on Friday. In Northern Ireland 71.2 per cent of the electorate voted `yes’ to a question about whether they supported the GoodFriday Peace Agreement, and 28.8 per cent voted `no’.

Trinamool bandh
CALCUTTA: The Trinamool Congress today said the party would go ahead with its 12-hour statewidebandh on May 25 to protest against violence allegedly unleashed by the ruling Left Front, despite the Calcutta HC holding the bandh as `illegal’ in the light of Kerala high court order.
