Sena expels 9 party workers
MUMBAI: Shiv Sena has expelled nine office-bearers for anti-party activities and seven others including five district chiefs were divested of organisational responsibilities, following unsatisfactory performance in recent polls8217;. The expelled are Prabhakar Kale Warud, Mohan Chokhande and Bhikusheth Shingne Sindkhedraja, Munna Darode Nagpur, Balaji Patil, Kamlakar Chavan and Sudhir Chavan Tuljapur, Harkisan Holkar Badnapur and Kundalik Gaikwad Beed, a party statement said on Saturday.

Minister remanded
PATNA: Mohammad Illiyas Hussain, who was dismissed as Bihar8217;s road construction minister following his arrest yesterday in the Rs 400-crore bitumen scam, was remanded to CBI custody for five days. Special CBI Judge S K Sharma sent Hussain to the CBI remand and fixed Nov 10 as the next date for his production.
