Maj Gen Arjuna takes over
Maj Gen V K Arjuna has taken over as MSAGC Southern Command. The General Officer was commissioned in 1968 and has held various command, staff, instructional appointments including as Deputy Director Supplies and Transport at an Area Headquarters, Deputy Military Secretary at Army Headquarters and instructional appointment at the College of Combat and Defence Services Staff College.

Shejwalkar appointed
Dr. P C Shejwalkar, Professor Emeritus of Commerce and Management Sciences was appointed Dean, Faculty of Management, University of Pune from June 1.Dr. Shejwalkar took over from Dr. Sharad Joshi who was appointed Dean by the former Vice-Chancellor Dr. Vasant Gowariker. A faxed statement issued on Monday by theOfficiating Registrar M G Shinde said the Vice-Chancellor Dr. Arun Nigavekar took the decision as per the powers bestowed on him under Section 14 of the Maharashtra Universities Act ’94.
