Janak Nabar tops BA examThe University of Pune on Monday declared the results of Bachelor of Arts BA, Bachelor of Science BSc and Bachelor of Computer Science BCS examinations held in April and May.

Janak Vikram Nabar of the Fergusson College topped the BA exams with 85.58 per cent. Zeenatunisa Khan, a student of Ahmednagar college stood second with 78.91 per cent followed by Tanuja Nandkumar Pradhan of Fergusson College 78 per cent.

In the science stream, Anantnarayan Hariharan of RYK Science College, Nashik topped with 87.10 per cent. Ranjani Shrinivas Kamath of Ahmednagar College ranked second with 83.26 per cent while Vidyadhar Shridhar Phadke of SP College stood third with 83.15 per cent marks.

In a huge success for the Nowrosjee Wadia College, its students captured all the first three ranks in the computer science stream. Veena Ramani topped the university scoring 79.83 per cent marks. Pooja Rakeshkumar Kalra stood third 79.61 per cent and Smita Kunte ranked third with 79. 27 per cent.

MSEB stir threat
Over 12,000 subordinate engineers of Maharashtra State Electricity Board MSEB have threatened to go on a three-day token strike from June 29 midnight in order to press for their various demands.
