NEW DELHI, December 4: The Pulse Polio Immunisation Programme PPIP will be organised in Delhi on Sunday at 3,658 polio kendras all over the Capital. Principal health secretary Ramesh Chandra today said that PPIP, aimed at eradication of poliomyelitis from the state and the country by 2000, can be achieved by simultaneous administration of polio vaccine to all children upto the age of 5 years irrespective of their past immunisation status. More than 17,000 trained personnel have been deployed for the programme.
