
A three-day pulse polio campaign will be launched by the Haryana Health Department in Sirsa district from December 21 to 23 to administer polio vaccine to children between the age of 0-5 years. As many as 775 pulse polio immunisation booths, 28 transit booths and 91 mobile teams have been set up at various places in the district. While the polio vaccine would be administered at the booths on the first day of the campaign, teams of doctors would go from house-to-house on the other two days. Special attention would be paid to those residing in slums, far-flung areas, isolated hutments, brick kilns and floating population, said a health official.
