CHANDIGARH, June 2: Members of the Panjab University Non-Teaching Federation held a mass protest rally at the university today to protest the non-implementation of demands of university employees.

The federation also gave a call to all employees to boycott all overtime extra work being performed before and after office hours. The employees are demanding revision of rates of overtime allowance, increase in rates for checking assistants, and implementation of various demands already accepted by the Joint Consultative Machinery in December ’97. Senior vice-president Tilak Raj Wadhwa said the federation will also hold a meeting tomorrow.
