Red Bulls Mark Webber earned pole position for Formula Ones German Grand Prix ahead of Brawn GPs Rubens Barrichello on Saturday. Webber secured his first career pole with a fastest lap of one minute,32.230 seconds around a slippery Nuerburgring circuit.

Overall F1 leader Jenson Button will start third ahead of local favourite Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull. Webber is still seeking his first win, competing in his 132nd race. A nice, boring Grand Prix would be fantastic for me, the Australian said.

Force India reached the final qualifying session for the first time in their 26th race, with German driver Adrian Sutil starting seventh ahead of Ferraris Felipe Massa.

The German clocked 1:34:316 in the top-ten shoot out to finish seventh for the first time in his career.

Team mate Giancarlo Fisichella will start 18th.

Im really happy, for sure one of F1s happiest guys today. Its my home race and my best qualifying position so far in F1. Seventh position is just really really good, everything went perfectly. Our decisions were very good and on time, Sutil said.
