Shami Ahmed to replace injured Irfan Pathan for ODI tri-series in the Caribbean

India’s cricket selectors had retained the 15-member ICC Champions Trophy squad for the tri-series in the West Indies starting June 28. But there is a last-minute modification as Irfan Pathan has been rules out ruled out of the tri-series due to hamstring injury. He will be replaced by Bengal fast bowler Shami Ahmed

MS Dhoni will have five seam bowlers in Umesh Yadav,Ishant Sharma,Bhuvneshwar Kumar,Shami Ahmed and Vinay Kumar. Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Amit Mishra will handle the spin department.. 

The tri-series in the West Indies also involves Sri Lanka. The tournament will be played in two venues,Sabina Park at Kingston in Jamaica and Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain,Trinidad.

India start their campaign against the West Indies at the Sabina Park on June 30.
