His first international appearance came in 2010 in an ODI against Zimbabwe. His Test debut came in 2011 against West Indies. He went on to take nine wickets in the series. Yadav became one of India's front line bowlers in 2015 World Cup and has since become an integral part of the squad. He is known for the speed he gets on the ball, crossing 140 kph regularly and his ability to swing it both ways.
