Protests in Manama

The main opposition group Wefaq said it supported the Sunni governments efforts to get back F1,but people in Shiite villages said they opposed it.

On a day Bahrain won back its F1 GP,police fired teargas at Shiite protesters. Human Rights Watch had campaigned against reinstating the race,arguing that a crackdown on the protesters during emergency law should weigh in the decision.The main opposition group Wefaq said it supported the Sunni governments efforts to get back F1,but people in Shiite villages said they opposed it.
