Dempo,Vasco split points

Dempo Sports Club and Vasco Sports Club split points after playing out an exciting 2-2 draw in the I-League at the Nehru Stadium in Fatorda.

Dempo Sports Club and Vasco Sports Club split points after playing out an exciting 2-2 draw in the I-League at the Nehru Stadium in Fatorda.

Uzbekistan strikers Sherzad Nazarov and Yorkin Nazarov scored for Vasco while Clifford Miranda and Climax Lawrence saved Dempo the blushes.

Dempo were jolted early after Nazarov curled a freekick in to give his side the lead in the third minute. However,they drew level in the 27th minute after a cross from Valerian Rebello was deflected in by Miranda.

In the second half,Vasco again took the lead through Nazarov,off a cross from Lester Fernandes. Dempo striker Martinss penalty soon after was saved by Laxmikant Kattymani,but Lawrences 30-yarder found the nets three minutes before time.
