Nagpur: The South African skipper Graeme Smith said that India opted for a conservative approach in the selection of their playing XI for the first Test. He felt that the Indian think tank would have regretted picking specialist wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha and not go for the fifth bowler. There are two ways to look at it. You take the more confident approach and play the extra bowler. With Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh in the line-up,they have tailenders who can bat. But they went for a more conservative approach and picked Saha at number 7, Smith said.
