CHANDIGARH, Aug 18: A large number of students from Classes IX and XII of various schools in the city participated in an on-the-spot poster-making competition, organised by the Population Education cell of the State Institute of Education here today.

The students were asked to make posters on population-related issues.

In the urban category, Monika of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Sector 8, bagged the first prize. The second prize went to Krishan of Government High School, Sector 11, and Shweta of Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 15, got the third prize.

In the category of model schools, Deepti of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 37, bagged the first prize, Geetika of Government Model High School, Sector 36, the second prize, and Sonika of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 16, the third prize.

Kiran of Government Senior Secondary School, Karsan, won the first prize in the rural category, Kamarjahan of Government High School, Hallomajra, the second prize, and Rajesh of Government Senior Secondary School, Karsan, got the third prize.
