With no points in the bag after seven races, Narain Karthikeyan is beginning to feel the heat from Jordan. And the bad vibes that have recently developed between him and Jordan boss Colin Kolles have prompted the driver to start thinking about switching sides next season 8212; and the team to start thinking about bringing in a new face.

Kolles had said yesterday that he was forced to have words with Karthikeyan see box after being disappointed by the driver8217;s performances at the last two races in Monaco and the Nurburgring.

And as he prepared for tomorrow8217;s Canadian Grand Prix, Karthikeyan reacted. 8216;8216;I don8217;t know what he is complaining about. The first five races I did well and you are bound to have some bad races.

8216;8216;Colin must also realise that this car is really bad to drive and it is easy to make mistakes, so they should try to improve the car also. There is no point just complaining.

8216;8216;He doesn8217;t speak to me very much any more, so that is a good thing. He thinks if he is very direct in criticism it helps, but sometimes it doesn8217;t, so it8217;s good and bad.

8216;8216;I was not upset, you come across a lot of things like this in Formula 1 so it doesn8217;t matter. We get on okay, but not like we did a month ago. He is just management, so I really don8217;t have to have a conversation with him.8217;8217;

Jordan are yet to score a point this season as they struggle through a development year following the purchase of the team by Midland group boss Alex Shnaider. The team will bring in a new car for the French Grand Prix next month but with Renault keen to put Frenchman Franck Montagny in the car for his home race Karthikeyan could even face a spell on the sidelines.

Kolles confirmed that he would be happy to bring back Montagny, who tested for the team at the Nurburgring, but it is understood that his role would only be as a test and reserve driver and Karthikeyan would continue to race.

WHAT KOLLES SAID

8226; On Narain8217;s performance: I was not very happy with the performance of Narain in Monte Carlo, I was not very happy with his performance at Nuerburgring. He knows this, I told him this

8226; On Monteiro: At the beginning Tiago was a little bit behind Narain, now Tiago is doing a better job.

8226; On Narain8217;s driving: I think he is putting himself a little bit too much under pressure and he is a little bit overdriving the car. This is what I hear from the engineering side. I hope that it will improve

8226; On next year: We are speaking to several drivers
