Podium collapses, Paswan sees a plot

Later addressing the gathering, Paswan saw a conspiracy in the collapse of the podium and called for a high-level probe.

He said several abortive attempts had so far been made on his life during his visit to Bihar during the Laloo-Rabri regime but he had escaped with minor injuries earlier by the grace of God.

He said 8220;no policemen were seen around the podium though we Paswan and Bharati enjoyed Z plus security.8221;

Describing Laloo Yadav as anti-dalits and anti-backwards, he called upon the people to come forward to launch a decisive battle to throw out the corrupt and inefficient government.

Charging the RJD with having hoodwinked and cheated the masses, particularly those belonging to the oppressed sections of society, Paswan said that his party alone would provide an effective alternative to Laloo in Bihar and declared the name of his party8217;s Lok Sabha member from Muzaffarpur, Jainarain Nishad, as the future Chief Minister of Bihar.
