Panel to look at IGNOU8217;s performance

NEW DELHI, November 8: The Indira Gandhi National Open University IGNOU has set up a high level review committee headed by Prof R V R Chandrasekhara Rao to make an assessment of the performance of the university since its inception in 1985.

The nine member committee will examine whether the programmes and courses launched by IGNOU so far have been able to contribute to the attainment of the aims and objectives of the university, vice-chancellor Prof A W Khan said in a statement today. The committee will also make recommendations for the future development of the university in a cost-effective and efficient manner, Khan said.
