Now, film on teachers attracts fire

CHENNAI, Jan 3: While the controversy over the film Fire continues to rage, a Tamil film, I Love You Teacher, has been criticised for “portraying the teaching community in poor light.”

The women’s wing of the Tamil Nadu unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party today demanded a ban on the film, being screened in some cinema halls in the State.In a press release here, State women’s wing general secretary Lalitha Subhash threatened to launch an agitation if the film was not banned, alleging that it showed teachers in poor light.
