New dates for Pinjore MC polls

CHANDIGARH, Nov 19: The Haryana State Election Commission today issued fresh poll schedule for the Pinjore Municipal Committee in Panchkula district on December 30.

Announcing the new schedule here today, State Election Commissioner J. K. Duggal said the returning officer would publish a notice inviting nomination today. Nomination papers can be presented from November 30 to December 4 and scrutiny will be held the next day.

The last date for withdrawal of nominations is December 10. He said that the commission had issued directions to the returning officer to send copies of the notices displayed at his office, office of the committee and at such other places.

The commission yesterday had nullified the poll process for the election earlier slated for December 19 after some irregularities were discovered.
