The association has also threatened to boycott the court of Judge Kulkarni if he does not change his behaviour, according to the resolution, a copy of which is also being forwarded to the Maharashtra and Goa Bar Council. The Nashik Bar Association8217;s meeting was convened following complaints from 49 lawyers practising in the court.
Complaints ranged from wasting time in unnecessary arguments with lawyers, delaying hearing of a case even when lawyers from both sides were present, to dismissing cases according to his whims, the resolution adds. The lawyers hadsubmitted a memorandum to the bar association, saying they have been finding it difficult to work in his court. Judge Kulkarni, however, declined to comment on the issue.
