Man found dead near Century Mills
MUMBAI: A 35-year-old Nepali driver was brutally killed near Century Mills at Worli on Saturday. The deceased Rajendra Singh Rana was found in a pool of blood in front of Mahadev Temple in Udyog Nagar. Police sub-inspector from Worli police station Vijay Sathe said the assailants had smashed Rana’s head with heavy stones. Rana’s nephew Sib Singh Mohan Singh complained to the police and a case of murder was registered under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. Investigations are on to nab the culprits.
Awards function postponed
The Director of a socio-cultural organisation Ashirwad, Dr Umakant Bajpai, stated in a press statement that the 20th Ashirwad Film and TV Awards function, which was scheduled for February 11, has been postponed due to general elections and the model code of conduct currently in force. The date for the function will be announced shortly.

Punjabi folk singer Amarjeet Kaur has been recentlypresented with the "Gaurav Puraskar" by well-known letter-writer Shyamlal Damani at a special felicitation programme conducted jointly by Punjabi Academy (Maharashtra) and Jana Chetana Manch at Khalsa College on Friday.

The Small Industrial Service Institute (SISI), Sakinaka and National Small Industries Corporation Ltd in collaboration with Bombay Small Entrepreneurs Association, Mumbai is organising a three-day industrial exhibition-cum-vendor development programme from February 11 to 13 at SISI, Mumbai. The main objective is to invite reputed public sector undertakings, large scale industries and other government organisations like Western Railway, Oil and Natural Gas Commission etc.
