MJCTU observes hunger strike

Forty members from the Mumbai Junior College Teachers Union MJCTU went on a hunger strike at Azad Maidan today to highlight their betrayal by the Shiv Sena-BJP government. The union will distribute pamphlets to people pointing out how the government failed to honour their demands as they had promised, said MJCTU president Amar J Singh. Their two main urges are three tier payscale starting from Rs 7,500 onwards and 42 days salary.
