Lecture on malaria

  • The Indo-American Society is organising a lecture on Changing Face of Malaria in India8217; on January 22 at their office premises at 5.30 pm. The lecture will be presented by Nilima Kshirshagar, head of department, Clinical Pharmacology, KEM hospital at Parel.

    • Camp on Better Eyesight8217;

  • The Sampoorna Institute has organised a camp for Better Eyesight through Mental Relaxation8217;, conducted by the Aurobindo School of Perfect Eyesight, Tiruvananthapuram. The camp will train participants for a week on practices that can cure eye-related problems, claimed a press release. The camp will be held at Siddhivinayak, 3rd Road, Santacruz e from Jan 20 to Feb 3 between 8 am and 11 am and 3 pm and 6 pm. For details, call K G Nagwekar on 6408008.

    • Newsletter naming contest

    Social organisations Akshara and Astitva are bringing out a newsletter targetted at college students. The organisation has floated a competition to give the newsletter a name. This name can beeither in English, Hindi or Marathi. A mystery prize8217; is in store for the winner. Contributions can also be sent to the newsletter in the form of poems, stories, reviews, cartoons an current issues.     Eye ailment treatment camp

    The Sampoorna Institute has organised a camp for Better Eyesight through Mental Relaxation8217;, conducted by the Aurobindo School of Perfect Eyesight, Thiruvananthapuram. Those suffering from refractive disorders like myopia or hypermetropia or organic disorders like glaucoma, squint and early cataract can apply, as can those who use spectacles. The camp will be held at Siddhivinayak, 3rd Road, Santacruz E from January 20 between 8 am and 11 am and 3 pm and 6 pm. For more information, call on 6408008.
