ICWAI revamps curriculum

The Institute of Cost amp; Works Accountants of India ICWAI has appointed Dr Girish P Jakhotiya to revise the institute8217;s curriculum. The revision will aim at giving new scope of work and competencies to cost accountants, in a dynamic economic environment, at national and international levels. Dr Jakhotiya is professor at the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, University of Mumbai. He has worked as consultant for the World Bank, International Labour Organisation besides other national and international banks, corporations and institutions.

Sale of festival items at Colaba

The Maharashtra State Women8217;s Council8217;s Funds Committee is holding an exhibition-cum-sale of items made for Diwali and Christmas by children from welfare centres like Asha Sadan, Bapnu Ghar, Savera and Project Street Children at 9 Somerset House, 4th floor, opp Colaba post office from 11 am to 7 pm on 29 October 29. The proceeds will go towards welfare projects for thesechildren.

Music and drama fest

The Rasika Ranjani Sabha is organizing a three-day festival of music and drama from October 23 to 25 at the STJ Sabhagriha Bhatiawadi Hall Ghatkopar. The first day of the festival will include a performance by Sangeetha Kalanidhi P Unnikrishnan followed by Tamil comedies by Y G Mahendran on Oct 24 amp; 25. Nature camp at Umbergaon

World Wide Fund for Nature India will organise a nature education camp in Umbergaon from November 12 to 14. The camp will include nature trails, mountain treks and a visit to a medicinal plants nursery.
