MSRIT students make robotic arm

BANGALORE, Aug 8: No, students are no more the proverbial meek and shy tribe waiting for their cue from elders, very scared to explore and afraid to experient. They are lall out there on the front, searching and inventing, as these final year BE Mechanical students of M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology MCRIT have shown. Students Mahesh N L, Sridhar urthy, Prashanth J C Srikanth Hedge and Shasu Chetan under the guidance of the Raji George have desinged a robotic arm that simulates the movements of the human hand. Though successful demonstrations have taken place the project is still in its infancy due to lack of resources.
