I fully share the views of Sagarika Ghose 8216;Who8217;s afraid of Narendra Modi?8217;, IE, April 4. Neither the past prime minister of the BJP, nor the present prime minister of the Congress, nor the kingmaker is strong enough to remove the Gujarat chief minister. It is unfortunate that the kingmaker has opted for soft Hindutva. No one in Gujarat has the strength to voice outrage against the inhuman killings of March 2002 in pursuit of political aspirations. The media is the only hope.

8226; Sagarika Ghose is excellent but she forgets one thing. Congress leaders are no more secular and respectful of minority rights than is the BJP. All aspire to power, no one wants to take any risk as fundamentally it would mean taking sides with the minority as opposed to the majority.

8226; Sagarika Ghose is right in recording that almost 8220;everybody8221; is afraid of Narendra Modi, except of course the US government. Modi8217;s forte is his bad manners, belligerence, foul tongue, and hypocrisy. This visa-less elected Gujarat CM named Narendra Modi will not be allowed to pollute the environment in the US.
The big 8220;paper tigers8221; in the BJP like Vajpayee and Advani have completely failed in containing Modi. The BJP is badly in need of rejuvenation.

8226; Now this is good news 8216;Hindi-Chini buy, buy8217;, IE, April 4. Business is business and if conducted in a transparent manner, it will benefit both sides.

Awaiting justice
8226; Shahabuddin and the other accused should be severely punished to set an example for other politicians 8216;The warning shot8217;, IE, April 3. This will have a positive effect and would give confidence and courage to other people who are trying to do some good in Bihar. Chandrashekhar Prasad will always be remembered.

For pride alone
8226; Thank you for showing us the pathetic state of affairs in our domestic cricket where no one opts to watch the prestigious Ranji final and shabby treatment is meted out to Railways players as far as facilities are concerned 8216;They believe in winning, not whining8217;, IE, April 4. It is a pity that the losing Punjab team fetched more money than the winning Railways team. It is about time Railways Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav took note of this and announced rewards for the team. The BCCI, on its part, must focus on improving domestic cricket.

In Saurav8217;s defence
8226; People are creating too much hype over the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly by asking him to give up captaincy. But we should not forget his enormous contribution to the Indian team. He played a vital role in grooming many of the youngsters Sehwag, Yuvraj, Kaif, Irfan, Zaheer who are now key parts of the squad.
