Modern, APS enter final

NEW DELHI, Nov 24: Modern School Barakhamba Road and Army Public School enter the finals in the men8217;s section of the Vidyavati Alagh memorial basketball tournament.

Modern School overwhelmed Mount St Mary8217;s School 44-37. Bhavya 23 and Simran 7 were the principal contributors for the winners while Pawan 17 was the top scorer for the losers. In the second semi-final, Army Public School Dhaula Kuan outwitted Bal Bharti Public School 57-40. Gajendra Singh 18 and Tej Pratap 15 were the main scorers for APS while Manav 18 and Sushant 10 scored for Bal Bharti School.

In girls semi-finals, Carmel Convent School thrashed Oxford School 49-27. Richa Dua and Jassica Arora scored for the winners while Meenu was the top scorer for Oxford School. In another match, Manav Sthali girls defeated Indira Ideal School 23-19.

The finals will be played tomorrow between Manav Sthali vs Carmel Convent in the girls section at 9.30 am while in the boys section, Army Public School will take on Modern School Barakhamba Road at 11 am.
